Visa information for the UAE
It is the responsibility of each Congress participant to investigate the visa requirements for the UAE and apply for a visa if necessary. Participants are strongly encouraged to apply for their visas as early as possible. Please note that there is no automatic entitlement to a UAE visa.

Fast-track process for visa applications
We are pleased to announce that the UAE has granted a fast-tracking process for visa applications. This fast-track process will be accessible via a link on this website, coming soon. It will be available to all participants who are fully registered, have paid in full, and have requested a Visa Invitation Letter when registering for the Congress. There will be no cost for visas processed through this fast-track. The system is currently being tested by the UAE and will be activated shortly.
Entry requirements by nationality
- Nationals from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries – no visa is required to enter the UAE.

Visa invitation letter from IUCN
Participants who complete their registration for the IUCN Congress 2025 will be eligible to request a Visa Invitation Letter from IUCN. This document can be used to support the visa application. The Visa Invitation Letter confirms the participant’s registration for the event and may be required by UAE authorities as part of the application process. Participants can request a Visa Invitation Letter during registration. The letter will only be issued once the registration is complete and fully paid.
FAQs
Visa applications can be submitted online via the UAE Government portal, through airlines, hotels, or authorised visa service providers.
IUCN does not process visas applications directly. However participants can request a visa invitation letters when registering to Congress. Please note that only those who have completed and paid for their registration in full will receive this letter. The visa invitation letter can then be submitted as a supporting document when requesting a visa.
Participants requiring a letter of invitation for visa purposes can request one while registering for the IUCN Congress 2025.
