Charlotte is CEO and Founder of Interface pour la Nature, an advisory and consulting company for environmental sustainability. She worked previously as Head of strategic alliances and West Africa programme Director for the MAVA Foundation, a Swiss philanthropic family foundation.
Charlotte has more than three decades work experience in the areas of protected and conserved areas, biodiversity conservation and sustainable natural resources management with focus on conservation funding, protected areas management and governance, grantmaking, strategic planning, programme development and management as well as multi-stakeholders process facilitation.
Charlotte has an overall interest for topics related to sustainability in general, including sustainable funding, nature and culture connection and nature-based climate resilience. She has an in depth knowledge and expertise on working with philanthropy and nonprofits as well as with public sector and policy decision makers, in multicultural contexts.
A doctor of veterinary medicine, Charlotte also holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in conservation biology from the University of Goettingen, Germany.
