This presentation reviews the IUCN Regional Red List assessments undertaken between 2011 and 2023 for five major taxonomic groups across the Arabian Peninsula. It examines the key threats affecting each group, the conservation status and population trends of threatened species, and how these findings can inform conservation priorities. Emphasis is placed on how the results support evidence-based decision-making, guide resource allocation, and enhance strategic conservation planning. The assessment process also plays a crucial role in raising awareness of regional biodiversity issues and the urgent need for targeted conservation action.Organised by
