The Seascape approach combines effective regeneration and protection of marine and coastal ecosystems, sustainable, offers an integrated framework for achieving nature-positive outcomes by combining the regeneration and protection of marine and coastal ecosystems with sustainable economic opportunities and equitable benefit-sharing economic development opportunities, with equitable benefit sharing for people with a focus on environmental (ocean health), social (inclusion and fair growth) and integrative (good governance. Grounded in inclusive conservation and rights-based governance, it supports climate-resilient livelihoods and empowers local communities, particularly Indigenous Peoples, women, and youth. Through long-term planning and multistakeholder partnerships, the approach enhances ecosystem health, strengthens coastal resilience, and fosters enabling conditions for transformative, regenerative blue economies across seascapes.
