Wei Hsien LEE

Biography

Lee Wei Hsien holds the position of Senior Technical Officer, Finance and Economics for Nature at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). 
 
In this role, Lee Wei Hsien is involved in private sector partnerships and in initiatives that mobilise private finance for nature, in collaboration with the Green Climate Fund, the Global Environment Facility and the GEF8 Southeast Asia and the Pacific (SEAP) Forests Integrated Program. This often involves exploring innovative financing mechanisms and working with businesses to mainstream nature and develop sustainable approaches to conservation that support biodiversity and ecosystem health.

Lee Wei Hsien's work contributes to IUCN's broader goals of influencing, encouraging, and assisting societies throughout the world to conserve the integrity and diversity of nature and to ensure that any use of natural resources is equitable and ecologically sustainable.
