Session Description

This event will discuss the imminent launch of the NbS Asia-Pacific Partnership, a new regional platform designed to mobilise capacities and resources for scaling high-integrity, multi-sectoral Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in Asia-Pacific. The Partnership convenes diverse actors such as academia, existing NbS coalitions, and local partners. The partnership aims to strengthen NbS knowledge, capacity, and implementation. The event will introduce and highlight the partnership’s offer, IUCN’s strengths on NbS, such as IUCN Global Standard on NbS, tools, and knowledge resources supporting NbS implementation as well outlining the benefits for partners and how partners can contribute to the partnership. The target audience includes policymakers, practitioners, research institutions, development partners, private sector actors, and civil society stakeholders across Asia-Pacific.
