Descripción de la sesión

The first global freshwater fauna assessment for The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species was recently completed, with an analysis of the dataset published in Nature (https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-024-08375-z). This study covered close to 23,500 freshwater decapod crustaceans (crabs, crayfish, and shrimps), fishes, and odonates (dragonflies and damselflies), finding a quarter to be at risk of extinction. In this podcast, we will bring some of the individual species’ stories to life while discussing the main findings of the study. Join us to find out about some fascinating freshwater animals from around the world!
