This session explores how to define and deliver meaningful outcomes in conservation initiatives by integrating local and Indigenous values, strengthening multistakeholder partnerships, and identifying shared priorities for nature and people.

Descripción de la sesión

Fauna & Flora proposes a session focused on how we define what “success” looks like in landscape-level initiatives for nature and people. Too often, outcomes are pre-determined by external actors. This session explores how to embed Indigenous and local community values from the outset – ensuring that priorities for ecosystems, species, and livelihoods reflect local realities. Through practical case studies, we’ll explore how governments, businesses and IPLCs can identify shared objectives, build trust, and achieve co-benefits that matter on the ground. The session will highlight how reframing value in landscape planning can lead to more inclusive and sustainable nature positive outcomes.
