Vatosoa RAKOTONDRAZAFY

Biografía

Vatosoa Rakotondrazafy es una destacada conservacionista malgache y defensora de los pescadores artesanales y de la gestión comunitaria de los recursos naturales. De 2015 a 2020 fue Coordinadora Nacional de la red MIHARI, que reúne a más de 200 asociaciones y representa a cerca de medio millón de pescadores en Madagascar. Su liderazgo le valió el prestigioso Premio Whitley en 2019 y ser reconocida entre los 100 Jóvenes Líderes Africanos de la Conservación en 2021. Posteriormente se incorporó al grupo de reflexión INDRI, donde dirigió la iniciativa Alamino para restaurar los bosques del país. Actualmente, Vatosoa es Gerente Regional de Gobernanza Costera y Oceánica en la UICN.
