Henrik STAHL

Biografía

Dr. Henrik Stahl is a Swedish marine scientist and Dean of the College of Marine Sciences and Aquatic Biology at the University of Khorfakkan in Sharjah, UAE. He holds an MSc and PhD in Marine Biology and Environmental Science from the University of Gothenburg and has over 20 years of international research and academic experience in Sweden, Denmark, Scotland, and the UAE. His expertise lies in marine biogeochemistry, particularly carbon and nitrogen cycling in sediments, ocean acidification, and impacts of environmental change on benthic ecosystems. Before joining UKF, he was Associate Professor and Associate Dean at Zayed University and a Principal Investigator at the Scottish Association for Marine Science. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications, with an h-index of 28, and is actively engaged in advancing marine research and international collaborations to support conservation and sustainable management of marine ecosystems in the Gulf region.
