Judith is a conservation practitioner with more than six years of experience working alongside communities, governments, and NGOs to protect coastal Kenya’s marine and terrestrial ecosystems. She is passionate about conservation approaches that emphasize inclusivity and long-term impact, combining for example data-driven strategies with strong community engagement to protect the Dakatcha Woodland. Beyond Kenya, she supports pan-African initiatives, having led a regional Biodiversity Information for Development (BID) project implemented in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, and Ghana, with a focus on capacity building, open data sharing and inclusive conservation. Judith has spoken at various national and international forums, advocating for equitable nature–people solutions that strengthen both biodiversity and human well-being. Judith holds a First-Class Honours degree in Environmental Science and is a member of the senior management team at A Rocha Kenya.
