The transition toward sustainable agriculture is central to addressing the interconnected crises of biodiversity loss, climate change, and food insecurity. Yet, current agricultural development models have often overlooked environmental and social impacts, limiting the effectiveness of policies and legal frameworks. This event examines the enabling legal and policy conditions required to support sustainable agriculture from international to national levels.Drawing on a comparative, multilevel analysis, this event will discuss key areas where law and policy reform is urgently needed—ranging from biodiversity conservation and climate adaptation to land use planning and farmer support.
