This talk will spotlight how animal reproduction biotechnology is unlocking new possibilities for biodiversity conservation. With wildlife facing escalating pressures, ex situ strategies are becoming critical to safeguard endangered species outside their natural habitats.It will explore cutting-edge reproductive techniques—including artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and cryopreservation—that allow genetic material to be stored, propagated, and applied in conservation breeding. These advances not only preserve genetic diversity but also create pathways for species reintroduction and translocation, helping rebuild populations in the wild.
Delivered in an accessible and inspiring format, the session will highlight how science, innovation, and collaboration come together to overcome challenges and push the boundaries of conservation. Audiences will be invited to imagine a future where reproductive biotechnology complements traditional conservation efforts, securing genetic legacies and offering hope for species survival in a rapidly changing world.
