Session Description
This interactive workshop, led by Ipieca in collaboration with IUCN, Fauna & Flora, and UNEP-WCMC, provides participants with a practical and immersive learning experience on integrating biodiversity and ecosystem services (BES) management into business operations. The session combines concise presentations, global case studies, and a peer-to-peer exercise simulating a hypothetical offshore wind farm scenario. Participants will explore economic, environmental, and social trade-offs at every stage of BES management while engaging in small group discussions for peer learning and networking. Designed for government officials, industry practitioners, and sustainability professionals, the workshop highlights innovative tools, real-world dilemmas, and collaborative solutions that advance nature-positive business practices. Attendees will leave with actionable insights, enhanced skills, and stronger networks to embed BES considerations into energy and other industry projects, fostering leadership and accountability for conservation in the private sector.Organized by
