Por qué asistir

2025 marks 50 years of the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance’s Frozen Zoo—a pioneering biobank that has safeguarded the genetic material of endangered species for half a century. As we celebrate this milestone, we ask you to join us in an ambitious mission: to biobank every endangered species by 2075.

Descripción de la sesión

During this event, we will also unveil an exciting milestone announcement regarding our initiative to develop a distributed biobanking network. Currently in the planning stages, this will grow biobanking capacity worldwide, furthering our commitment to a truly global conservation effort. As a proud partner of the SSC as a Center for Species Survival (CSS) focused on biobanking, we are working collaboratively to advance biobanking initiatives and drive global progress in safeguarding biodiversity. This is more than a celebration—it’s a rallying cry for action. Be part of this historic moment and pledge your support to this global movement to protect the future of our planet’s biodiversity.
