Descripción de la sesión
To effectively address the critical challenge of biodiversity loss, it is imperative that we urgently scale up efforts to conserve threatened species—particularly those that have historically been overlooked. This session will highlight global mechanisms designed to tackle the unique challenges associated with conserving overlooked species. This session will showcase global mechanisms such as the Asian Species Action Partnership (ASAP), SHOAL and Amphibian Survival Alliance (ASA) which are actively working to elevate the profile and catalyse conservation action for overlooked species. Mandai Nature and Synchronicity Earth will also share insights into the pivotal role host institutions play in establishing, supporting, and sustaining such collaborative efforts. This interactive session offers a valuable opportunity to explore both the needs and potential solutions for overlooked species conservation. Attendees will have the chance to engage in meaningful discussions, expand their networks, and consider broader applications of lessons learned from the initiatives presented.Organised by
