Por qué asistir

Come and join indigenous representatives, conservation professionals and others in a critical conversation about constructive ways forward on this controversial issue.

Descripción de la sesión

In this session, we will explore what constitutes good practice in cases of unresolved past and ongoing injustices in conservation. For example, when and how should protected areas that have displaced indigenous peoples be returned to them? What steps can be taken to rebuild trust? And what approaches are most likely to enable effective indigenous stewardship of returned areas?
