OECMs provide a ground-breaking opportunity for conservation activities by non-state actors to gain recognition, thereby encouraging these actors to expand and strengthen their contributions to nature conservation. In this sense, OECMs constitute a powerful mechanism for scaling up comprehensive conservation in support of Target 3 of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF). In this session we will hear from representatives of non-state actors on their contributions and opportunities towards effective, equitable implementation of GBF Target 3.Organised by
