AI is reshaping how we understand and protect our planet. At Ai2 (the Allen Institute for AI), we have long committed to building open, impactful systems like EarthRanger and Skylight—platforms already supporting conservationists worldwide. With the launch of the OlmoEarth Platform, we are taking the next step: delivering the first open, end-to-end AI for Earth intelligence. OlmoEarth integrates satellite, radar, climate, and map data to generate timely, trustworthy, and actionable insights at local to global scales. From mapping crops in Kenya to monitoring mangrove loss and detecting deforestation drivers in the Amazon, OlmoEarth accelerates what once took months into hours—at costs accessible to real programs.
