As cities expand to accommodate nearly 70% of the global population by 2050, the need to rethink urban development through a sustainability lens is more important than ever. This high-level session convenes global leaders who are shaping the future of cities—where nature, equity, and resilience are at the core of urban transformation. They will present sustainable urban development initiatives and innovative solutions from the perspective of city authorities, businesses and urban strategists. Speakers will inspire bold action and collective leadership to enable cities transform into vehicles for nature-positive solutions and transition from high footprint to low-carbon systems. The session will emphasize the power of collaboration across age and gender, sectors, and geographies.
