Por qué asistir

Discover why protecting nature and tackling climate are inseparable--and essential to a sustainable future. In this session, Katharine Hayhoe will share strategies to communicate across divides, connect values to action, and catalyze the collective action we need to ensure a future where people and ecosystems thrive together.

Descripción de la sesión

Safeguarding nature is inseparable from tackling the climate crisis: and, together, they’re essential to human well-being. Protecting ecosystems is not a side benefit but rather the foundation for resilience, equity, and prosperity. Despite this, many nature-based solutions remain underfunded and undervalued, out of reach to communities who need them most and inaccessible to decision-makers who lack the information and resources to recognize their relevance and unlock their potential. Join Katharine Hayhoe, climate scientist and Chief Scientist for The Nature Conservancy, as she connects the dots between biodiversity, climate, and livelihoods. Integrating science and finance with smart, nature-positive policies can accelerate our progress towards economies that regenerate rather than deplete—and she believes the path to that better future begins with conversations that invite people in, help them see how climate and nature solutions address their own priorities, and empower them to envision and build their own resilient future.
