This session will introduce participants to the newly released IUCN WCPA Good Practice Guide: "Practice Guidance for Protected and Conserved Area Finance." The session will help participants understand and navigate their way through the new guide and through conservation finance solutions to leverage for protected and conserved areas.

This session will be led by two lead authors or the "IUCN WCPA Practice Guidance for Protected and Conserved Area Finance" who will share an overview of this comprehensive and essential guidance document. The main observations will be presented as will examples from the Guide's Factsheets. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences with the authors. Participants will leave this session with a better understand of finance options and will be better equipped to navigate their way through the new guide and through the comprehensive array of conservation finance solutions for protected and conserved areas.
