Angela Andrade

Biographie

Présidente de la Commission. Présidente de la Commission mondiale de gestion des écosystèmes de l’Union internationale pour la conservation de la nature depuis 2016. Directrice principale des politiques liées aux changements climatiques et à la biodiversité à Conservation International Colombie depuis 2009. Elle a précédemment été directrice des écosystèmes au ministère de l’Environnement et directrice adjointe de la géographie à l’Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzí, en Colombie. Elle est anthropologue de l’Université des Andes, spécialisée en géographie et en études rurales, et titulaire d’une maîtrise en écologie de l’ITC des Pays-Bas. Elle possède plus de 25 ans d’expérience de recherche en écologie territoriale, aménagement du territoire et politiques environnementales. Au cours des dernières années, elle a défendu, entre autres, les questions d’adaptation écosystémique et les solutions fondées sur la nature en réponse aux crises de la biodiversité et des changements climatiques à l’échelle mondiale.
