Why attend

Attend this session to hear directly from the IUCN Commissions Chairs about how their volunteer expert networks are crucial to shaping global biodiversity and climate policy. You'll get an inside look at how the knowledge generated by these networks informs the IUCN's work and contributes to major policy decisions.

Session Description

In this session, the chairs of the Commission on Education and Communication, Commission on Ecosystem Management, Commission on Environmental, Economic and Social Policy, Species Survival Commission, World Commission on Environmental Law, World Commission on Protected Areas, and Climate Crisis Commission, share their vision of the role of volunteer expert networks on driving the knowledge that underlies IUCN Knowledge Products and the Union's interventions in global biodiversity and climate policy processes. This will be an informal conversation, moderated by a senior representative of the IUCN leadership, open to comments and engagement with the public in attendance.
