Sonia PEñA MORENO

Sonia is a Colombian and Italian national. She is the Director of IUCN's  Centre for Policy and Law. Graduated from Political Sciences and Modern Languages at the University of Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, she worked for two years at the Ministry of Environment of Colombia and travelled to Switzerland in the year 2000 to continue her postgraduate studies at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva where she obtained a Masters on International Relations and a Professional Certificate on Environmental Governance. She started working for IUCN in 2003. She is married, has two children and lives in neighbouring France.
