Ewald RAMETSTEINER

Biography

Mr Ewald Rametsteiner is a forester from Austria who has been working as the Deputy Director, Forestry Division, NFO, since 1 April 2019. He worked as Programme Coordinator (Global Delivery) of FAO's Strategic Programme "Sustainable Agriculture" (SP2) from 2015 until 2019. Before joining the SP2 Management Team he was the leader of the Forest Governance Team of the Forestry Department. Prior to FAO he worked at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis and the European Forest Institute. He was member of Secretariats of intergovernmental bodies and policy advisor on sustainability issues for a range of international organizations and governmental bodies. He holds a PhD in Forest Policy and Economics from the University of Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria
