ADIZA OWUSU ADUOMIH

Biography

Adiza Ama Owusu Aduomih is a Programs Manager and Gender Equity & Social Inclusion (GESI) Team Lead at Hen Mpoano, Ghana. She has extensive experience in coastal resource management, gender integration, and community development, with a strong focus on empowering women in fisheries and advancing gender-responsive conservation.

She currently manages the IUCN RISE Gender-Responsive Conservation Project in the Greater Cape Three Points Area, integrating GBV mitigation, prevention, and response, as well as women’s leadership, into marine protected area governance. Adiza previously led the EU-funded Women in Fisheries Against Violence (WiFVEs) Project, which strengthened community-based GBV prevention and response mechanisms.

She holds an M.S. in Environmental Science and Management (University of Rhode Island, USA) and a B.Sc. in Fisheries and Aquatic Science (University of Cape Coast, Ghana).
