Jacqueline Niles Arguello (Jaxie) is an International Studies, Communication, & Spanish triple major at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Jaxie has a passion for environmental climate justice and international cooperation through the sharing of ideas and culture. At the IUCN World Conservation Congress, she will be presenting a project she began summer 2025 creating sensory science materials boxes for the FIN Place Based Environmental Education Project at Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired as part of the Bridging Science, Community, and Access Through Youth Leadership panel in the exhibition space. She has a particular interest in public communication that builds community and is currently an intern at KRTU 91.7 FM, a non-commercial, listener-supported, student-run radio station that specializes in broadcasting jazz and indie music and supporting the local music community. At KRTU and elsewhere, Jaxie produces content that supports local artists and cultural exchange and enjoys creative projects that overlap with her environmental and social justice work.
