Why attend

Experience the power of youth-led conservation in this interactive session where young leaders bridge science, community, and accessibility, leaving you with actionable tools and ideas to foster the next generation of conservationists.

Session Description

This session highlights the innovation and impact of youth-led conservation through an engaging, hands-on panel that bridges science, community, and inclusion. Nine youth leaders (ages 15–31) from Families in Nature will share diverse, impactful environmental leadership projects that span marine science in Tela, Honduras to accessible environmental education for the blind and visually impaired community in Texas. Participants will be introduced to each youth leader during a brief opening panel, followed by rotating roundtable stations, where each youth will present a hands-on, interactive component of their work. Each roundtable will allow participants to touch, try, or engage with a key part of each project, such as: analyzing sample data, navigating sensory activities, or co-designing inclusive nature connection tools. Attendees will rotate between 3–4 tables during the session and leave with replicable ideas and strategies to implement in their own communities.
