Alix CHATTON

Biography

Alix Chatton is a Project Manager for Blue Natural Capital at the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). She supports the Blue Natural Capital Financing Facility, the Blue Carbon Accelerator Fund, and the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) - Tailored Local Support, which deploys funding for investments in scalable ocean solutions, such as blue carbon, conservation finance, and nature-based approaches. With a background in marine systems, policy, and environmental management, Alix has worked on plastic pollution challenges in SIDS and contributed to IUCN’s role in the global plastic treaty negotiations. At IUCN, she focuses on strengthening project implementation, building capacity, and fostering partnerships that advance ocean resilience and climate adaptation.
