Sara ALMEHAIRBI

Sara Salem Al Mehairbi is a Marine Scientist at the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), working on the UAE’s first dedicated research vessel. In this role, she supports and leads marine research missions focused on microplastics, water quality, seagrass, fisheries resources, and assessing the impacts of climate change on the Arabian Gulf. She has practical expertise with advanced oceanographic technologies, including CTDs, acoustic systems, and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), and plays a key role in advancing regional marine science and sustainability efforts
