I am a seasoned communication professional and biodiversity conservation advocate with over 25 years of experience in policy advocacy, media engagement, and environmental governance. I have led awareness and advocacy initiatives on biodiversity conservation, climate change, gender justice, and sustainable development- working with government, private sector, and civil society at both national and international levels.
Beginning my career at 17 in environmental audio-visual production, I have produced influential documentaries, organized nationwide media sensitization programs, and contributed to policy review and advocacy. I served as the first woman President of the Nepal Forum of Environmental Journalists (NEFEJ), played a key role in the successful organization of the first National Conservation Forum (NCF) under IUCN NNC in 2024, and currently serve as a Board Member of the Small Mammals Conservation and Research Foundation (SMCRF), Life Member of Bird Conservation Nepal, and Member of the International Association of Women in Radio and Television (IWART).
Academically, I hold a degree from Tribhuvan University with specializations in Sociology, Economics, Gender Studies, Anthropology, and Journalism & Mass Communication, complemented by media and gender training in Nepal and abroad. Recognized for strong analytical skills, networking, and coordination, I bring extensive experience, a collaborative spirit, and deep commitment to advancing conservation and social justice.
