Session Description

Conservation donors and recipients ultimately want the same result – reduced biodiversity loss, but do not always understand each others’ perspectives. Donor priorities and interests vary from one to another, and may not always seem to take into account the needs and challenges faced by conservation project practitioners. But often donors face their own challenges, which may not always be apparent to grant applicants and recipients. This session will provide an opportunity for small grants donors and recipients to discuss and better understand each other. A number of small grants donors would be indirectly represented by the session organiser, and the event would mainly consist of Q&A.
