Session Description

This session will provide an overview of what One Health (OH) is and the global cross-sector policy frameworks that set out mandates to apply it. It will then outline the importance and opportunities for incorporating environmental and wildlife health into OH approaches and frameworks. The session will then highlight key tools developed by IUCN, alongside partner organisations that provide practical guidance to support national authorities, civil society and IPLCs in strengthening environmental and wildlife health into OH, including toward risk analysis, wildlife health monitoring, protected area planning and management, and nature-based solutions for health. The session will end with group discussions where participants can provide their inputs and some key issues related to the application of the tools presented.
