Why attend
Facts don’t move people. Emotions do. A new generation of leaders in science communication will share how to create engagements that reach heads of state and the hearts of the public. In this interactive session, they will discuss groundbreaking cases and offer direct advice on your urgent issues.
Session Description
The facts are clear, the solutions are here, but society is not moving fast enough. Communication and engagement are acknowledged by all conservation bodies as top priorities to shift policy, change public perception, and unlock funding. In this session, we explore how to move beyond classic science communication and how creative collaborations can generate awareness and open up opportunities in today’s cluttered media landscape. These pioneers in their field will show how art and science, creative partnerships, and public education can make a real difference in the years to come. Guided by cases, tools, and tips, you will leave with practical insights on how to harness the speed of culture, weave together new narratives, and use data visualisation and artistic interventions to reach the heads of state and the hearts of the public.Organised by
