Piero GENOVESI

Biography

Piero Genovesi, PhD, Head of wildlife service with the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research, Chair of the IUCN SSC Invasive Species Specialist Group and member of the Steering Committee of the IUCN Species Survival Commission, collaborates with many international organizations, including the UN Convention on Biological Diversity and the European Commission. International Science Advisor for the Center for Invasion Biology, Stellenbosch University, South Africa. Author of books and scientific articles published in the most prestigious journals in the world, in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 included in Highly Cited Researchers list by Web of Science.
