Why attend

Discover how the Asia Youth Network for Protected Areas drives action for Target 3 through the #30x30YouthVision campaign launch. Join an intergenerational Dialogue Lab with regional park leaders to shape priorities, discuss challenges, and craft pathways on the road to World Parks Congress 2027.

Session Description

This session launches the 30x30 Youth Vision Campaign of the Asia Youth Network for Protected Areas and announces the adoption of AYNPA as an official committee guided by the Asia Protected Areas Partnership, IUCN Asia Regional Office, and WCPA. We will (1) reflect on the 2nd Asia Parks Congress Declaration that founded AYNPA, (2) share what the next generation expects from Target 3, and (3) discuss aspirations for World Parks Congress 2027. Youth leaders will showcase their disruptive innovations, followed by an intergenerational Dialogue Lab with high-level regional park representatives to discuss commitments, challenges, and pathways to realize 30x30 and the IUCN Youth Strategy. We welcome new/existing AYNPA members and individuals/organizations seeking to integrate youth into conservation strategies. Key discussion points will be synthesised into a call to action for IUCN & WCPA.
