Session with interpretation
Why attend
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about biodiversity conservation efforts in the Americas through the voices of local organizations. It will also be an opportunity to discover how similar challenges are being addressed regionally.
Session Description
Ten partner organizations are joining us for this session, representing eight countries: three from Central America (Guatemala, Honduras, and Panama), four from South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, and Chile), and one from North America, the United States. Each will share their experience in conserving and protecting biodiversity in their territories, explaining why it is vital to protect them and how they are carrying out this work. Each organization will have seven minutes for their presentation. At the end, we will open a space for the audience to ask questions directly to the representatives. In addition, we will have a series of pre-prepared guiding questions, in case we need to encourage participation.
At the end of the session, we will recap the shared experiences and provide some conclusions with lessons learned.
