Biography
Hélène Willem is a programme officer at the IUCN Mediterranean Centre for Cooperation, where she coordinates initiatives supporting civil society organisations in North Africa and across the Mediterranean. Trained in environmental engineering and nature conservation at Wageningen University, she has worked across Europe, North Africa and Latin America, with a focus on biodiversity, community engagement, and project management in developing countries. Within the IUCN Med Mubadarat programme, she coordinates grants programmes which support grassroots conservation leadership through strategic funding, training, and advocacy.
