Yuuko IIZUKA

Yuuko Iizuka is executive officer, deputy head of Corporate Division of Sumitomo Forestry Co., Ltd. as of January 2025, where she oversees the Sustainability Department as general manager since 2015. Her current responsibilities include strategic planning, management, and disclosure of sustainability issues (climate, nature and equity) to realize the company’s long-term vision, Mission TREEING 2030.  She works closely with NGOs on issues primarily related to timber procurement and has played a pivotal role in bringing global ESG investment perspectives to Japan and Asia where Sumitomo Forestry owns or manages forests.

Yuuko is alternate director of the newly formed International Sustainable Forest Coalition and serves on the Steering Committee of The Forest Dialogue.
