Biography
María Catalina Porras Peña is a committed conservation professional with over 20 years of experience in the California Condor Reintroduction Program in Baja California, Mexico. She has collaborated with national and international institutions and currently serves as Program Coordinator. Her work includes field monitoring, data management, and captive care. Recognized with the 2010 Nature Conservation Award and for 12 years of dedicated service to condor recovery, Catalina brings together expertise in biochemical engineering, communication, and hands-on fieldwork—making her a valuable contributor to wildlife conservation efforts aligned with IUCN goals.
