Session Description
BirdLife International is a global authority on the conservation of the world's birds. Our newly redeveloped DataZone website is a dynamic and visually engaging platform providing easy access to tailored information on the world's birds and the important sites for their conservation, including factsheets on all 11,000 bird species, 13,000 Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, 250 countries/territories and 16 flyways, and hundreds of research summaries from six editions of the State of the World's Birds report. Powerful search and filtering functionality enables tailored outputs to address particular questions. The new DataZone provides unprecedented integration between datasets on extinction risk and conservation status of the world’s birds, key sites for conservation, and summaries of conservation science and action. This lightning talk will provide a tour of the new website and show how it can be used to meet diverse end-user needs.Organized by
