Why attend
Conference of the Parties on The Convention on Biological Diversity established a technical and scientific cooperation mechanism comprising a network of regional support centres. IUCN's regional offices for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, as well as the Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation, will present their own roles within this mechanism.
Session Description
European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) through the EC Knowledge Centre for Biodiversity (KCBD), in partnership with the International Union for Conservation of Nature Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation (IUCN Med) and the Royal Belgian Institute for Natural Sciences (RBINS) will host the TSC centre for Europe.International Union for Conservation of Nature Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (IUCN ECARO) in partnership with the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) will host the TSC centre for Central Asia.
These partnerships will enable parties to the Convention to get support in using science, technology and innovation for the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
