Why attend

If you represent a city wanting to commit to bold actions for urban nature and citizens’ health, this framework is what you are looking for if you want to be inspired by urban nature targets.

Session Description

The session aims at presenting the Berlin Urban Nature Pact, a global initiative that seeks to halt and reverse biodiversity loss to put nature on a path to recovery for the benefit of people and the planet in cities by 2030. Cities that endorse the Pact will be involved in a community of practitioners that will facilitate the exchange of ideas to mainstream Nature-based Solutions (NbS) into cities, moving from pledges to practical actions. The session will also give the floor to the City of Paris, lighthouse city in the Urban Nature Plans+ project and involved in the Pact, which will showcase its contributions to nature protection for citizens in their municipalities, and how the Pact will enable them to set measurable targets and enhance their contributions to global biodiversity initiatives.
