Session Description
Designing and delivering successful conservation initiatives is challenging. Multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and complex environmental issues demand clear, strategic communication. This session offers practical guidance based on the IUCN Guide on Effective Environmental Communication Strategies, which draws on global expertise and field-tested tools. Participants will learn how to overcome communication barriers, design persuasive messages, and select channels that resonate with diverse audiences. Through case studies and proven strategies, the session shows how communication can build understanding, bridge differences, and mobilize collective action. Rather than abstract theory, it provides hands-on methods for managers, educators, and practitioners working at all levels. Attendees will leave with practical approaches to strengthen their communication, maximize the reach of their initiatives, and advance biodiversity and climate goals.Organized by
