Session Description
Can emerging technologies truly redefine the future of conservation—or will traditional approaches remain the cornerstone of protecting our planet? This Oxford-style debate will put the question directly to the audience, who will vote before and after to decide which side makes the stronger case. Framed around two critical themes - governance and equity - the debate will explore whether technology strengthens decision-making and accountability or risks undermining local communities, and whether it democratizes conservation or deepens existing divides. With a focus on live sparring and audience engagement, the session is designed to surface both the opportunities and challenges posed by innovation.
