Session Description
Achieving 30x30 in Asia requires conservation that is inclusive, fair, and locally driven. This session showcases how GESI approaches are embedding equity into marine and coastal conservation. Women, Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and youth are at the forefront of governance innovations, resilient livelihoods, and biodiversity outcomes across the region. The Coral Triangle Initiative’s Women Leaders Forum (WLF) is a vital example of how gender equity strengthens leadership and decision-making. Partners will also highlight how the IUCN Green List provides accountability and assurance for effective and equitable area-based conservation. Through dialogue and interactive exchange, the session will demonstrate how equity underpins conservation effectiveness and how Asia’s diverse actors are scaling inclusive pathways to deliver 30x30.Partners
