Session Description

The WCC is a key event on the road to COP30, in a critical year for the world’s forests. This event convenes senior representatives from key countries and negotiating blocs, the COP30 Presidency, multilateral organizations, NPI members, and Indigenous Peoples to discuss how to advance the forest agenda within the UNFCCC focussing on: ● Consolidating expectations for formal and informal forest-related outcomes in COP30 ● Sharing perspectives on forest and nature-related priority issues ● Exploring options for better integration of climate and biodiversity plans to maximize synergies ● Reflecting on Brazil’s role as host for results on nature and forests
