Session Description
This high-level session will focus on innovative financing mechanisms to accelerate global investments in Nature-based Solutions (NbS). Hosted by IUCN, the event will convene leaders from multilateral development banks, governments, private investors, and conservation organizations to explore strategies for scaling NbS.Participants will learn about successful public-private partnerships, blended finance models, and policy frameworks that enable greater private sector engagement. Key topics include unlocking private capital, de-risking investments, and leveraging green bonds, carbon markets, and payment for ecosystem services.
The session will foster dialogue on multi-stakeholder collaboration, promote actionable solutions, and highlight commitments to enhance NbS financing globally. Attendees will leave with actionable insights on mobilizing resources for NbS to bridge the funding gap and drive climate-resilient, sustainable development.
