Why attend
This brief session is designed to stimulate creative thoughts and get collaborative ideas flowing on how to increase responsible funding flows to “the point of impact” where community/locally-led organisations and shareholders can have their best effect. The atmosphere will be energy-filled, fun and fast-paced.
Session Description
Community thought leaders will build on ideas from the previous sessions of the day to share their experience and highlight where they have seen challenges and where they have identified key levers for change to garner collective action and the much-needed funding to build the capacities and support the efforts of locally-led organisations. They will also share thoughts on ways to build the necessary donor-recipient relationships and collaborations in mutually respectful ways. Others in the room will be able to become active contributors as the fishbowl ebbs and flows with challenges to be solved and new ideas to be shared in an open and welcoming environment.Deeper understanding and insights will be gained from the participation of some of the key players actively driving the movement to increase funding to locally-led organisations to enhance the potential of individual, institutional and collective action to deliver mutually reinforcing IP&LC and conservation outcomes.
